B's Room Update
It was time! B’s room has gotten many upgrades and changes throughout our different homes and seasons of life, but this is my absolute favorite version yet. The removable wallpaper was gifted by Loomwell - it’s Delilah by Juniper Row in blue. It was incredibly easy to install, and completely transforms the space. I love the vintage-y vibe. It feels very nostalgic. B keeps calling it her “fancy room.”
The first thing I do when I’m redecorating is shop my own house. I had this art print in B’s closet sitting in a different frame, and I stuck it in a different frame from storage. It was in her nursery, and I love that it still works with the color scheme we have now.
Every big girl’s room needs a hang out spot! Each kid has a nugget in their room right now, and we use them all the time. I’ve even slept on one before when someone was under the weather at 3am.
B’s request, aside from helping choose the wallpaper, was more purple. She’s got plenty of time to change her mind in the future about this color, so I made sure to keep the essentials simple so we could swap out pillows and quilts for other colors down the road (likely stolen from another area of the house!)
B got a Fujifilm polaroid for Christmas, so I wanted a place in her room where she could display her favorite photos.
We had a large vertical frame above the dresser that I would swap out with seasonal art, but we needed something fresh in this space. I painted a still life of a few of her favorite things, and framed it. It pulls all the colors together (intentionally, of course) and just brings a little more of B’s personality into her room.
These pillow covers are from Amazon! A lot of the pieces in her room are either from Home Goods, thrifted, or just “old” because we’ve had them since she was born. I’ve loved collecting things at estate sales and antique malls for her and J’s room updates. It brings so much character into their spaces.
