Midwest Modern Woman Summit
Last Friday was an amazing day! I was invited to speak and teach a workshop on Instagram photography to a great group of girl bosses at the Midwest Modern Woman Summit.
Mary from Love of Character and Angela from Wichita Moms Blog were the hostesses for the event, and absolutely killed it with the decor, swag, and topics. I felt so honored to be included, and loved to meet all the talented local female entrepreneurs. Like how cool is this wreath by Free State Flora?!
Erin Bartel of Elite Media Ink spoke in the morning about Digital Marketing, and covered everything from email lists to SEO to social media.
When you walked in there was a great spread of Songbird Juice Co. mimosas and coffee + muffin tops from Leslie Coffee Co. I was double-fisting my coffee with a mimosa, not gonna lie.
Swag goals, am I right?! I was geeking out over the branding, and how well everything was incorporated throughout the event.
We were lucky to have the talented Sally Cavanaugh there taking headshots as part of the event. She’s photographing one of my favorite local girl bosses Juliana Cavender of Everyday Beaut and Clifton Collective!
September Moon Cupcakery did B’s first birthday cupcakes (adorable little cactus cupcakes - linked here), and she’s a magician with frosting and batter! I was popping these to calm my nerves before I presented, and they totally helped ;).
The whole day took place in Love of Character’s new event space right next door to their original shop. They’ll be connecting the two spaces soon (adding a doorway where there’s a shared wall), and I’m really excited to see how the space gets used.
Had to document my lack of yoga pants and this fantastic floor! So many good details happening at Love of Character.
Literally couldn’t wait to wear my new MWMW shirt, so I made B pose with me wearing her Avery & Grey flowers. I’m grateful to be raising her in a community where women are lifting each other up and supporting one another’s businesses!
MWMW is a new collaborative entrepreneurial community that’s bringing women together in the Wichita area. Want to learn more? Check out their Instagram page here for updates and more info: @midwestmodernwoman
