Our Living Room for Christmas

Welcome to the living room part of my Christmas home tour! I grabbed some seasonal décor at my local Gordmans to spruce up my living room for Christmas, including some pieces I’ll be using year-round because they’re transitional. Gordmans is partnering with St. Jude this holiday season to raise money to help fight childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. These red berry stems are from Gordmans, and I love how they pull all my festive pops of red together in the center of the room.

I saw this wooden pear at Gordmans and couldn’t leave without it. I love touches of wood and gold on these bright white shelves, and there’s something about pears (and partridges!) that make me think of Christmas. I think I’ll keep it around all year, though!

These built-in shelves make our living room so personal, and I love rearranging them throughout the year. My mom gave me this handmade nativity scene a few years ago, and I love how it looks spread out on the three levels like this. It’s so important to me to mix new decor with heirloom pieces when I’m decorating for Christmas!

This vase and apple are also from the home décor section at Gordmans. I’m always looking for neutral pieces for our built-in shelves, and these just have an upscale, modern vibe I couldn’t pass up. I wanted to mix in plenty of white, gray, and beige elements with our holiday reds and greens to balance it out, so I was excited to find pieces like the wooden apple and pear that brought neutral wintery vibes too.

I found this tree skirt at Gordmans, and loved how fun the tassels were! We’ve been rolling without a real tree skirt for awhile now, and this one was such a good price in store I couldn’t pass it up. It could work with any number of styles from boho to farmhouse!

Santa’s elves have been busy at our house wrapping lots of gifts for under the tree! The classic green and red gifts make my heart so happy. Hope you enjoyed our living room tour!
